Who We Are
Verus K9 is a professional training operation based in Portugal. We work with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds — from reactive puppies to elite Belgian Malinois protection dogs. Our method is built on clear communication, consistent structure and a deep understanding of canine behaviour. We don't just train dogs. We train owners.

The most critical phase of any dog's life. We build a solid foundation through clear structure, positive exposure and early skill development — shaping behaviour, confidence and bond before habits form.
Beyond commands. We develop a dog that behaves well in real life without being constantly managed. Commands are tools — the real objective is a calm, confident dog that makes good choices independently.
Addresses root causes, not symptoms. Reactivity, fear and aggression are communication. We teach new emotional responses and new coping strategies — while teaching owners how to stop unknowingly reinforcing problems.
Elite working dogs for personal protection and property guarding. Built on play, drive and obedience — producing dogs that are confident, controlled and reliable under pressure. Every protection dog is also a family dog.
Exclusive Offering
Verus K9 works in exclusive partnership with a specialist Belgian Malinois breeder to offer fully trained protection and property guard dogs to private clients, estates and security-conscious organisations.
Each dog is hand-picked for drive, temperament and trainability — then developed through a rigorous, proven programme. Monthly on-site maintenance training ensures peak operational standard.
